Innovate Through Design Thinking
About This Course
Seeking innovative solutions to difficult challenges is what innovation is all about. In the business world, creativity is not just being novel and original, but also being valuable to the end user.
Is the solution effective and efficient in resolving a user problem? Is it addressing a customer need? Does it perform a necessary function for the customer?
More specifically, design thinking generally refers to:
- A human-centered approach to issue solving, and
- Using an iterative process to arriving at a better solution.
An iterative process refers to the notion that a solution does not have to be complete and elegant. Rather, design thinking focuses on creating rough product prototypes based on a strong understanding of “jobs to be done” by customers. These prototypes are quickly and often tested, and they are continually evolving. Experimentation is essential for testing and improving prospective solutions.
To conclude, design thinking is a creative and methodical approach to issue resolution that relies on human-centered, iterative procedures.
In Leex’s Innovate Through Design Thinking course, we will learn about the design thinking method and tools that may assist us in understanding and defining consumer problems, generating ideas to solve these problems, developing concepts and prototype solutions, and experimenting and tweaking these solutions.
